Cruise Ship

Cruise Ship

Voyage with cruiser when world stricken by economic crisis was very special. That was happened by Yugoslavia team when they went to Uruguay in 1930 worldcup. Different with other three European teams, France, Belgium, and Romania, Bosko Simanovic’s squad leaved with MS Florida, a cruise Ship. That was very special when because only rich people can have voyage with this ship. Even, FIFA President, Jules Rimet and Word Cup trophy ride in SS Conte Verde which caried other three teams.

Decision to used MS Florida because Yugosliavian Football Authority in order to persuaded all player so they went to Uruguay. At first, Yugoslavian player didn’t want to leave because it will spend an half month in sea trip. Like other, cruise passengers, they enjoyed dolce far niente or having Fun. They like a flock of rich people on vacation. It was far different  with other European teams.

During the trip on SS Conte Verde, Belgium, France, and Romanian Players kept their body condition. Conte Verde intentinally altered become a floating sport arena.  Beside provide a gym, it also had a swimming pool and pingpong tables. Even some players played football, it stoped after some ball fell into the sea.

Weird, even Yugoslavian Player didn’t do any exercise and only have fun, Yugoslavia came as the most successful European representative. Ivan beck cs, could through semi-final match before lost from uruguay 6-1. Compared by France, Belgium, and Romania which already had eliminated in group round.
